High school football returns with Sollenberger Classic on FOX Sports Arizona Plus
Arizona high school football returns for 2014 on Friday and Saturday when the Sollenberger Classic from Las Vegas will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona Plus. There will be two exciting match-ups on consecutive nights featuring four of the best programs in Arizona and Nevada.
Kicking it off on Friday at 7 p.m. will be Brophy Prep versus Nevada's defending Division I champion Bishop Gorman High School of Las Vegas. Bishop Gorman enters the season ranked No. 1 in USA Today's preseason high school football rankings.
Then on Saturday at 7 p.m., it's Arizona's defending Division I champion Mountain Pointe, ranked No. 21 by USA Today, facing off with Nevada's 2013 Division I runner-up Reed High School of Reno. Both games will be played at Fertitta Field on the campus of Bishop Gorman High School.
In addition to being seen locally on FOX Sports Arizona Plus, the games will receive national exposure. Both games will be televised on five other FOX Sports Networks around the country, heading into homes in Southern California, Detroit, the Texas and states surrounding it, the Southeast and nationwide on the FOX College Sports Pacific channel.
Calling the action for this weekend's game will be Jim Grieshaber and Dale Hellestrae for Friday's Brophy Prep/Bishop Gorman game and Craig Grialou and Hellestrae for Saturday's Mountain Pointe/Reed clash.
