What started as a sophomore's hustle play on defense turned into video gold during a Texas high school basketball game Friday.
Vista Ridge's Jeremy Geist tipped a pass as Conroe High attempted to work the ball up the court from near its own basket.
The loose ball seemed headed out of bounds near the benches, but Geist stayed with the play, reeled in the ball and flipped an arching shot over his head. Players started converging toward the bucket for the loose ball, but Geist didn't leave them with anything to work with.
His ball found the basket for a 3-point bucket.

Alas, the magic wasn't quite enough. Conroe won 53-41, dropping Vista Ridge to 8-7 for the season.
