MONACO (AP) The Herculis Diamond League track meet in Monaco will go ahead as planned Friday in the wake of the attack in nearby Nice that killed at least 84 people.
Organizers say the event at Stade Louis II - which has a capacity of about 18,500 spectators - was given the go-ahead after consultation between the Monegasque Athletics Federation and Prince Albert of Monaco.
The meet is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and ''will be kept strictly to the sporting events with no festivities.''
Organizers say ''a tribute'' to the victims will take place.
