Heat's Chris Bosh to defend Shooting Stars title at All-Star festivities
There will be one Miami Heat player gunning for a three-peat this season.
The NBA announced on Thursday that Chris Bosh will be a participant in the 2015 Degree Shooting Stars competition as part of the events planned for All-Star Saturday taking place on Feb. 14 in New York.
Bosh will be joined by Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins and WNBA star Swin Cash as they attempt to be the first team to repeat as champions for a third consecutive year.
Each team consists of one current NBA player, an NBA legend and a WNBA player who attempt shots of various degrees of difficulty around the court in the fastest time possible.
Team Bosh will face stiff competition from Team Curry (Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, his father Dell Curry and WNBA player Sue Bird), Team Davis (New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis, NBA legend Scottie Pippen, and WNBA player Elena Delle Donne) and Team Westbrook (Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, former NBA star Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and WNBA player Tamika Catchings).
Bosh seems to be looking forward to a welcome break from a tough season with the Heat and another chance to lift up a trophy.
