Hawks will hold portion of training camp at Georgia
The Hawks are heading back to school, well for at least a couple of days.
The team announced Thursday that it will hold a portion of its training camp at the University of Georgia, from Oct. 1-3.
"I’m excited to have our first training camp at the University of Georgia and to make use of their first-class facilities," coach Mike Budenholzer said through a statement. "Being in Athens to start camp will provide us a great opportunity to focus on building team chemistry and developing the unselfish and hard-working mentality that will be central to how we compete every night."
This is the first time that the Hawks have held part of their training camp away from Atlanta since before the 2004-05 season, when they were at Mercer University in Macon.
