Hawks sign Daye to 10-day contract

Their depth hit by injuries, the Hawks brought in forward Austin Daye on a 10-day contract.

Atlanta announced the deal Sunday, which comes less than 24-hour after the team revealed forward Mike Scott has a fractured toe.

Daye, 27, was waived by the Spurs in January. The No. 15 pick in 2009, he has played with the Pistons, Grizzlies, Raptors and Spurs.

The loss of Scott, who is out an undetermined amount of time, further hurts the Hawks, who are already without Thabo Sefolosha (calf).

Sefolosha has been out since Jan. 30, with the expectation that he would be able to return by the middle of March.
