The Clippers have apparently added another important piece to their roster for next season, reportedly agreeing with small forward Grant Hill on a deal.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Hill, 39, has agreed to sign with the Clippers and will be the backup small forward behind starter Caron Butler. Yahoo! Sports also reports that Hill will ink a two-year contract with the team.

The Clippers have several options to acquire Hill, either through a sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns or by using its bi-annual exception, according to reports.

The Lakers and New York Knicks have expressed interest in adding Hill, but he was said to be finalizing specifics of a deal with the Clippers on Tuesday.

Hill, who has averaged 17.1 points over 17 NBA seasons, would join a Clippers bench that already includes Lamar Odom and Jamal Crawford.

The former Duke standout is a seven-time NBA All-Star and was named the league's co-Rookie of the Year in 1995.
