Head coach Tony Granato used all three of his goaltenders, while the Badgers tumbled to the brink of the NCAA tournament picture, as the University of Wisconsin men's hockey team fell 5-1 to Ohio State.

Wisconsin outshot the visiting Buckeyes 29-18 but generated just one goal, a power play strike from junior Matt Ustaski in the second period.

Freshman Jack Berry started in goal, but left the game in the second period after allowing three goals on just nine shots.

He returned to the ice just three minutes later when regular starter Matt Jurusik was lost to an injury.

Freshman Johan Blomquist played the final nine minutes of the third period.

The loss drops the Badgers to No. 16 in the PairWise, a formula designed to mimic the NCAA's selection process for the 16-team national tournament.
