MIAMI (AP) -- Miami right fielder Giancarlo Stanton was a late scratch from the Marlins lineup on Friday night with a sore left shoulder.
Stanton was in the Marlins' lineup posted before batting practice. He was removed about a half hour before Miami's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Stanton was batting .167 (5-for 30) with no home runs or RBI through the season's first nine games. He walked eight times and struck out 12.
