MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Marc Gasol had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and the balanced Memphis Grizzlies topped the New Orleans Pelicans 101-99 on Monday.
Matt Barnes, Jeff Green and Courtney Lee also had 16 points apiece for Memphis, which has won three in a row and five of six. Mike Conley added 15 points and 10 assists.
Lee converted a free throw with 3.5 seconds left. He missed the second one, but Gasol tapped the ball into the backcourt, and Barnes let it roll until time expired.
Jrue Holiday led the Pelicans with 23 points and nine assists. Anthony Davis had 21 points, eight rebounds and three blocks, and Ryan Anderson scored 14 points.
The tight matinee featured 18 lead changes and 14 ties.
Midrange jumpers from Holiday and Cole helped the Pelicans to an 80-75 early in the fourth quarter. But Memphis answered with a 10-1 run, including four points from Barnes.
Barnes had 12 points in the fourth, but New Orleans stayed close. Holiday's layup with 4.6 seconds left made it 100-99, setting the stage for Lee's final free throw and Gasol's rebound.
There were eight ties and six lead changes in the third quarter alone. Holiday's 3-pointer in the final seconds lifted the Pelicans to a 76-72 lead after three.
Eric Gordon and Norris Cole each scored 10 points for New Orleans, which had won two in a row.
CONLEY'S DAY
Conley returned to the lineup after missing six games with a sore left Achilles and recorded his third double-double of the season. The point guard also was named one of the 30 finalists for the 2016 U.S. Olympic team earlier in the day.

Pelicans: Next up for New Orleans is a seven-game homestand. ... The loss prevented the Pelicans from matching their season-best three-game winning streak.
Grizzlies: The game marked the 14th year of the team's Martin Luther King Jr. game. The Grizzlies are now 6-8 in games played on the holiday. ... The team recognized former NBA players Spencer Haywood and Jalen Rose along with former WNBA star Tamika Catchings, this year's Civil Rights Museum Sports Legacy award winners.
