FOX Sports San Diego to Televise Inaugural Games at Fowler Park and Cunningham Field
Both Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16 Contests Feature USD vs. SDSU
Inaugural Game Coverage on February 15 Includes Special Hour-Long Pregame Show Dedicated to Ron Fowler
San Diego – FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) today announced plans to produce and televise both the Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16 University of San Diego baseball games against San Diego State University at USD’s new Fowler Park and Cunningham Field.
Coverage of the Toreros inaugural game at Fowler Park and Cunningham Field on Friday, February 15 begins at 6 PM with a special hour-long pregame show hosted by Andy Masur. The show will feature an in-depth look at how the park was constructed as well as a tribute to Ron Fowler, the man after which the new park was named.
“I’ve had the sincere pleasure of getting to know Ron Fowler who has donated generously to both universities,” said Henry Ford, Senior Vice President and General Manager, FOX Sports San Diego. “My staff and I are truly honored to tell his story and we look forward to televising two of our local teams compete in a new San Diego landmark.”
The Aztecs return to Fowler Park and Cunningham Field on Saturday, February 16 to face the Toreros at 6:00 PM on FOX Sports San Diego. In the booth for both games will be FSSD’s own Padres Live team, Mike Pomeranz calling play-by-play and analyst, Mark Sweeney, along with FOX Sports San Diego’s Kelly Crull reporting from the sidelines.
