The Braves have shut down first base prospect Freddie Freeman for the remainder of the Arizona Fall League.

Freeman injured his thumb October 18 when he slid into third base in an AFL game. He was examined this week by Braves hand specialist Dr. Gary Lourie. Surgery is not needed, but the Braves want Freeman to rest the thumb so he
