1. (1) Mater Dei (7-0) (at No. 3 St. John Bosco, Friday, 7:30p, FOX Sports West)

The Monarchs had their toughest test of the season against former No. 8 Orange Lutheran and were up just 27-14 at the half. Three quick third quarter touchdowns by Mater Dei and the rout was on. Up next is the Game of the Year in SoCal with St. John Bosco, two of the nation's Top 10 football programs.

2. (2) Corona Centennial (6-1)

The Huskies overcame four first-half turnovers to pull away from area rival Santiago 45-7. It was another big game for running back Miles Reed, who had three touchdowns while the defense is really playing well. The Huskies should roll through the rest of their league schedule and be no worse than a No. 2 seed when playoffs begin.

3. (3) St. John Bosco (6-1) (vs. No. 1 Mater Dei, Friday, 7:30p, FOX Sports West)

Bosco took care of business with an impressive 47-10 win over Santa Margarita and will host Mater Dei this weekend on FOX Sports West and FOX Sports GO. The Braves have beaten the Monarchs five straight times and most of the wins were of the lopsided variety. This one should be an instant classic.

4. (4) Mission Viejo (6-0)

The Diablos had big games from all their stars with standout juniors Austin Osborne and Olaijah Griffin both totaling over 100 yards receiving, Colin Schooler rushing for over 100 and Matt McDonald throwing for 255 yards and a pair of scores in their 56-27 win over San Juan Hills.

5. (5) Rancho Cucamonga (6-0)

The Cougars put up a season high 65 points in their win over Los Osos. Jaylon Redd had four all-purpose touchdowns and quarterback Nick Acosta was 12-16 for 202 yards and a pair of TD throws.

6. (6) Serra (5-3)

Make it five wins in a row now for the red hot Cavs with a very solid win over formerly No. 15 ranked Bishop Amat. Not everyone believes in playing a super tough non-league schedule and would rather rack up wins over cupcakes. Serra took the opposite approach, got punched in the mouth a bit has rallied and looks like the clear top team in the always tough Mission League.

7. (7) La Mirada (5-2)

The Matadors had a 48-0 shutout win over Bellflower. QB Tristan Meyer had another big game, throwing for 200 yards and four touchdowns. Don't expect to see La Mirada tested again until the playoffs.

8. (9) Calabasas (7-0) (at Newbury Park, Friday, 7p, Prep Zone)

The Coyotes had a bye last weekend and it came at the perfect time with key starters Darnay Holmes and Bookie Radley nursing injuries. Newbury Park awaits this weekend in what should be a potential high scoring affair.

9. (10) Long Beach Poly (5-2)

The Jackrabbits put up 70 points for the third week in row, taking out LB Jordan 76-6. Seven different players for Poly scored touchdowns led by junior running back Michael Mauai, who took three scores to the house.

10. (12) Murrieta Valley (5-2)

No let down for the Nighthawks after their big win over Vista Murrieta two weeks ago as they rolled to a 42-0 win over Chaparral. Hank Bachmeier and wid out Maurice Bell had big games in this one and if the defense can continue to improve, watch out in the playoffs.

The Next 10:

11. (8) Orange Lutheran (4-3)

12. (13) Cathedral (7-0) (at Salesian, Friday, 7p, Prep Zone)
