FOX Sports Arizona wins 4 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards for 2013
FOX Sports Arizona was once again recognized for its excellence in television programming by picking up four Emmy Awards at the 2013 Rocky Mountain Emmy Gala in Phoenix on Oct. 20.
Todd Walsh added his third Emmy as the best on-camera sports anchor in the region for his work on the network’s Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Coyotes shows.
Photographer Rusty Francisco also picked up an Emmy for short-form photography for his efforts for Work to Ride Kids. The piece was part of FOX Sports Arizona’s Spotlight: Scottsdale Polo Championships show.
Two FOX Sports Arizona programs received Emmy Awards as well. In My Own Words: Matt Williams by Walsh, producer Josh Kelman and editor Tom Elsner won an Emmy for “Nostalgia Program – Program Special.”
Kelman was also recognized along with FOXSportsArizona.com's Craig Morgan for In My Own Words: Todd Graham in the “Interview/Discussion – Feature/Segment” category.
Since 2005, FOX Sports Arizona has now won 50 Emmy Awards. The Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter is responsible for honoring excellence in television in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and El Centro, Calif.
