The Florida football team has picked up another key piece to what could be the offense's turnaround in 2014.
Former Virginia tight end Jake McGee announced on his Twitter feed Friday that he will be transferring to Florida. He has graduated and will be eligible to play immediately.
McGee caught 43 passes for 395 yards and two touchdowns in 2013 for the Cavaliers. He also had five TD receptions in 2012.

His arrival helps a Gators offense that was plagued by injuries and struggled to put points on the board. Florida averaged just 18.8 points per game in a season that saw the Gators win just four games and lose at home to Georgia Southern.
Coach Will Muschamp hired a new offensive coordinator, Kurt Roper, in the offseason.
