Fischer leads Marquette past Alabama A&M, 83-49

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Luke Fischer was perfect from the floor, making all eight of his field goal attempts to finish with 22 points and lead Marquette to an 83-49 rout of Alabama A&M on Friday night.

Fischer made 6 of 8 free throws and grabbed six rebounds. Steve Taylor Jr. had 16 points and six boards, and Juan Anderson chipped in 13 points for Marquette (6-4).

Matt Carlino added eight points and eight assists, and Duane Wilson had eight points and five steals for the Golden Eagles, who shot 30 of 49 for 61.2 percent from the floor.

Marquette led 40-20 at the break, and Jajuan Johnson's jumper stretched the Golden Eagles' lead to 31 points with 15:33 to play.

Rakiya Battle scored 18 points and dished out five assists, and Nicholas West had 14 points with nine rebounds to lead Alabama A&M (1-7).
