Texas right-hander Neftali Feliz, who will make the transition from closer to starter this season, will be one of the pitchers on hand at Rangers Ballpark later this month for a pitching camp.

Both Feliz and right-hander Alexi Ogando will work out at the ballpark Jan. 15-16 and then attend the first day the camp, which runs from Jan. 17-20.

"It's an opportunity for him to talk with some of our guys," Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said. "It's a chance for him to check in and likewise the staff to check in with him."

Feliz and Ogando aren't the only big names in the camp. Greg Maddux will be one of the coaches working with the pitchers. Ron Washington, Mike Maddux and Andy Hawkins will also be there.

The Rangers did not have a pitching camp in 2011. There are 13 minor-league pitchers scheduled to attend the camp including Martin Perez, Michael Kirkman, Neil Ramirez, Robbie Ross, Matt West and Tanner Scheppers.
