ORLANDO, Fla. -- On Saturday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m., FOX Sports Florida will be at The Villages High School in Sumter County for the 60th Annual Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South Football All-Star Classic. The event, which started in 1949, is one of the nation's oldest high school all-star football games. The game will be streamed live on PrepZoneFlorida.com via Prep Zone, presented by Checkers and UHealth, and re-aired statewide on FOX Sports Florida that same evening at 10:30 p.m. and on Sun Sports the following day, Sunday, at 12:30 p.m.  Bernie Guenther will call the game, alongside color commentator Brady Ackerman, and Kristen Bedard will be reporting from the sidelines.

The North team looks to have an explosive passing attack with a skilled triggerman in Melbourne Central Catholic's Brandon Ziarno, who passed for more than 3,000 yards with 44 touchdowns and just two interceptions this season. He has an array of offensive options, led by North Florida Christian wide receiver Christian Philpott (6-foot-2, 200 pounds), a Georgia Tech commit, and Atlantic Coast tight end Chris Cunningham (6-foot-3, 280- pounds), a Virginia Tech commit. Defensively, the North has a tremendous secondary, captained by Florida High defensive back Ronnie Harrison (6-foot-2, 192 pounds), an Alabama commit.

"The North/South Football All Star Classic dates back to 1949 and is the oldest and most prestigious game in the state, said Shelton Crews, Executive Director, Florida Athletic Coaches Association. "We are fortunate to have another outstanding group of players and coaches that will follow in the footsteps of other Florida football greats that have played/coached in this game.  The Villages will provide an incredible backdrop for this year's game."

The South squad has an equally impressive passer in Boyton Beach's Lamar Jackson (6-foot-2, 185 pounds), who is headed to Louisville. He'll have plenty of protection behind an impressive offensive line, led by a pair of 6-foot-5, 280-pounders in Clearwater Central Catholic's William Atterbury (South Florida) and Winter Haven's Mike Arnold (Virginia Tech). Dunbar's Daniel Cobb (Cincinnati) will provide some punch on the perimeter as a burner who can score from anywhere on the field. On the other side of the ball, the South has a stout front seven, keyed on the line by Lake Gibson defensive end Ruben Jones (6-foot-4, 225 pounds), a Nebraska commit, and at linebacker by Vero Beach's Tyler Horstman (6-foot-3, 200 pounds), a Bowling Green commit.

"It is a pleasure to be a part of this game and looking forward to doing our first event at The Villages," said Stephen Grecsek of OUR TEAM, "The quality of the athletes in this game has improved every year that FOX has been a part of it.  Thank you to FOX Sports and our major sponsors, such as Checkers and UHealth, for providing these athletes with valuable exposure"
