Ex-UFC champion Tito Ortiz crashes Porsche, arrested on suspicion of DUI

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz was arrested on early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his Porsche on a Los Angeles freeway.

According to a report from KTLA, Ortiz ran into a concrete median on the 405 freeway around 4 am on Monday morning with his 2012 Porsche Panamera along with two passengers he had in the car.  Information obtained by FOX Sports on Monday morning also confirmed the arrest with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department regarding Ortiz's arrest.

Once police arrived on the scene, Ortiz was given a breathalyzer test where he popped for a .12.  The legal limit in California is .08.

Ortiz was arrested and taken to a local police station and booked at just past 6 am, where bond was set at $15,000.  As of 8:13 am this morning, Ortiz had posted bond and was released from the facility where he was taken to after the arrest.

The report states that earlier in the evening, Ortiz was at the Playboy mansion where he attended a BCS National Championship pre-party.

According to the arrest records for Ortiz, he is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan 27.  The DUI he was arrested for is a misdemeanor charge.
