Jamail Jones came to Marquette University as a highly ranked recruit in the 2010 class — No. 52 overall, according to Rivals.com. But after not playing much in two seasons in Milwaukee, he announced his transfer a few weeks ago from Buzz Williams’ program.

According to a report from the Naples Daily News, the 6-6 wing announced he has decided to transfer to Florida Gulf Coast.

“Jamail has the unique combination of size, athleticism and skill level that can help him become an exceptional scorer and versatile play-maker,” FGCU coach Andy Enfield told the Daily News. “His talent level was recognized in high school as he was rated a top 50 player in the nation. With his strong work ethic, we expect Jamail to become a big-time college basketball player. He fits in perfectly with our other talented young players in our uptempo style of play.”

In two seasons for Marquette, Jones averaged just 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.
