Ex-Longhorn Jones reserves win for Texas in All-Star game

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Linebacker Eddie Jones tackled Damien Berry at the 1-yard line on fourth down with 55 seconds to go, helping Team Texas hold on for a 13-7 victory over Team Nation in the NFLPA All-Star game on Saturday.

The game featured players eligible for the NFL Draft in April.

Jones, who played college ball at Texas, ran in from the left side of the line to stop Berry, the Miami running back who scored on a 72-yard run earlier in the game.

Texas Tech quarterback Taylor Potts guided scoring drives the first two times he appeared on the field, and that was enough for Team Texas.
