Gophers head coach Don Lucia announced that Eden Prairie's Mitch Rogge has joined the team just weeks before the start of the 2014-15 regular season. Rogge signed am Acceptance of Admission, completing his transfer to Minnesota after seeing limited action last year at Sacred Heart.

Rogge skated with Minnesota's All-American captain Kyle Rau for four seasons at Eden Prairie High School, where he was a four-year letter winner. The two, along with former Gopher Nick Leddy, powered the Eagles to the 2009 Minnesota Class AA state championship.

Last season, Rogge attended Sacred Heart, an Atlantic Hockey member in Fairfield, Conn. He suited up for only two games as a freshman and recorded no points.
