Former Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill will enroll at TCU in June and join the football team, Frogs coach Gary Patterson confirmed to Fox Sports Southwest.
Hill, a Southlake, Texas native, informed the Fort Worth Star-Telegram of his plans at a Southlake Carroll playoff baseball game on Thursday.
NCAA transfer rules require Hill to sit out the 2015 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Hill replaced Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel at the beginning of the 2014 season and threw for 511 yards and four touchdowns in a season-opening road win at South Carolina. He was suspended two games (Louisiana Monroe and Auburn) for violating team rules and benched for freshman Kyle Allen late in the season. Hill announced plans to transfer before the Aggies' spring practice began.
Heisman Trophy candidate Trevone Boykin will be a senior this season, but Hill is expected to challenge redshirt freshmen Foster Sawyer and Grayson Muehlstein to win the starting job next spring.
