Evan Rodriguez sasses the police, gets himself arrested
Miami can be a difficult place to stay out of trouble. Bears tight end Evan Rodriguez found out first hand. According to CBS 4 in Miami, Rodriguez was arrested by Miami Beach police and charged with resisting an officer without violence and disorderly intoxication. So ... what happened exactly? According to the police report, the second-year player out of Temple was in the passenger seat of a car when it was pulled over. When police asked Rodriguez for his ID, this is what he said: "For what, I don't need this. I'm an NFL player. I don't need all that media stuff." Which we're sure prompted this response from the officers on the scene:
Rodriguez then apparently walked away with his ID (and the driver) still in the car. Police then told him to walk to the sidewalk and you know, maybe NOT get hit by traffic.
