Eric 'The Eagle' Francis riding high heading into Fort Lauderdale Grand Prix

Current World ranked Number One personal watercraft rider, Eric ‘the Eagle’ Francis, is the firm favorite for the 2018 P1 AquaX US Series Championship title as we move into the final round in Fort Lauderdale, FL this November.

Landing on Fort Lauderdale Beach, November 17th-18th the Rip It Fort Lauderdale Grand Prix promises thrills from beginning to end where Francis, who is riding high with a 39-point lead, is sure to have that first-place position firmly in his sights.

Should he race to victory, Fort Lauderdale Beach would be the backdrop for his second P1 AquaX US Series Championship – the first came in 2014 – and so he will no doubt be pushing his Yamaha GP1800 ski to its limits.

Francis won’t have an easy ride though as hot on his heels are reigning P1 AquaX World Champion, Brian Baldwin and current US National Champion, Chris MacClugage. Since the series started in Miami back in April it has been a battle between the three with competition hotter than ever. Thousands are expected to turn out to see who will be crowned the 2018 US National champion.

The Rip It Fort Lauderdale Grand Prix is lining up to be packed full of action and is set to be bigger and better than ever before. The event will be a non-stop beach party with something for everyone. The weekend not only promises on-water action but back on the shore there will be a spectator village with live entertainment, a BMX riders showcase, Volleyball matches, vendor alley, and live music, food and drink, as well as a VIP areas for those who would like a little extra.
