Here are some of the story lines that we'll be following during tonight's broadcast and on FOXSportsOhio.com.
CAN REDS BUILD ON THE WIN?: The Reds will try to win consecutive road games for the first time in a month. Reds have gone 4-14 on the road since their three straight wins in Pittsburgh in April, but they are 13-5 vs. the D-Backs at Chase Field... the best record of any opponent at the Arizona ballpark.
WHO WINS - HOT TODD VS. COLD TODD?: With two doubles Wednesday, Todd Frazier is batting .364 (8-22) in his last six road games. However, he's 3 for 24 in his past seven against Arizona.
FOOLED BY THE DBACKS RECORD?: Don't be. Suffering injuries, the Diamondbacks had a horrible start, getting off to an 8-22 record. They've been much better since then, going 14-11 in their last 25 games. The D-Backs the Reds are playing are a better than .500 club over the last month.
WILL WE SEE MORE OF LUTZ?: After hitting .360 at Double-A, Donald Lutz went 2-for-4 with a run scored against Zach Greinke on Tuesday.
CAN JAY BRUCE BOUNCE BACK?: Since returning from the DL, Jay Bruce has gone 2-for-16 with nine strikeouts. He says that there's no problems with his knee and that he feels fine, but has struggled against the string of top-flight pitchers the Reds have faced.
CAN THE REDS MAKE CONTACT?: The Reds have the third-fewest strikeouts in the NL, but have struggled their last five games, where they've struck out 60 times. Granted, this is against some of the best pitchers in baseball (Wainwright, Ryu, Greinke, Kershaw), but the Reds need to reduce their sudden bout of K-Fever.
CAN TONY CINGRANI KEEP HIS STARTING JOB?: Tony Cingrani has lost two straight starts and compiled a 6.00 ERA since coming back from shoulder problems. He could be in danger of losing his starting job with Mat Latos returns. The key is a good start: Cingrani has allowed 10 first inning runs this season and 10 runs in all other innings combined. Meanwhile, DBacks scheduled starter Josh Collmenter is looking to win his third consecutive start. This is his first start against Cincinnati.
CAN THE REDS SLOW DOWN GOLDSCHMIDT? Arizona first baseman hit .444 against the Reds last season - the highest of any opponent.
