DraftKings MLB Picks: Top Bargain plays for September 30th
Finding value is the ever so elusive, “Holy Grail” in Fantasy Baseball. Making cap room for pitchers and big bats can make all the difference in a lineup. With a little elbow grease in the research department, I’m hoping to offer a handful of players that could give critical salary relief for tonight’s DraftKings MLB picks.
Tonight’s slate features 15 games, including a game at Coors Field. The Rockies are projected to score the most runs at 6.7, followed by, Arizona (5.7), Texas (5.4), and Milwaukee (5.4). It’s difficult to pick out which team is the most under priced tonight, but a tough decision will have to be made on how much exposure you want to allot to the Rockies offense. Here are my recommended bargain plays for tonight.

Robert Gsellman – NYM (P) – $6600
Robert Gsellman is extremely under priced on DraftKings, given his match up with the Phillies tonight. The Mets are currently -176 favorites and are projected to only give up 3.5 runs. Gsellman has been solid in his last few starts and excellent in his latest appearance, where he went seven innings strong and struck out eight batters. The Phillies have an inflated strikeout rate when facing a righty and it won’t take too many strike outs for Gsellman to pay off his salary.
More from Fantasy CPR
Andrew Benintendi – BOS (OF) – $2700
After two sub par games, Benintendi’s price has dropped down even further, making him ridiculously cheap at only $2700. Bennintendi will draw the righty, Marco Estrada, where he holds a .439 wOBA and a .261 ISO split. Boston is projected to score 5 runs tonight and Benintendi should be considered on DraftKings, as his price is more expensive on FanDuel.
T.J. Rivera – NYM (2B/3B) – $3300
T.J. Rivera seemingly always finds his way on base. His streak of getting on base continues and should again tonight, given his match up with the righty, Alec Asher. Rivera has reverse splits where he holds a .423 wOBA and a .233 ISO split.
Ryan Raburn – COL (OF) – $3500
Hopefully Ryan Raburn will earn a spot in the order tonight, since he’ll be one of the cheaper option from the Rockies, and will be facing a lefty. Raburn fares much better against lefties, with a .367 wOBA and a .273 ISO split. Given the Rockies projected total, you’ll need to have exposure to them in some capacity, and Raburn may be a cheaper option.
Yulieski Gurriel – HOU (1B/3B) – $2600
Yulieski Gurriel could make for a decent punt option at either first or third base tonight. Gurriel hasn’t been crushing value as of late, but if you believe in Houston’s bats tonight, Gurriel should benefit if he’s batting second again. Gurriel has reverse splits, where he holds a .304 wOBA split.
Other players to consider: Manny Pina, Jason Castro, Tom Murphy, Pedro Alvarez, Hyun-Soo Kim, Stephen Drew
Note: Keep in mind that recommended DraftKings MLB picks are based on early information and will be subject to change as lineups are released. Some cheaper players are often scratched from the lineup or bumped down the lineup order.
