DraftKings contest and suggestions for Week 11

In our DFS DraftKings contest last week, "mydougie007" posted the winning entry. They had Ezekiel Elliott (43.9 DK points), Ben Roethlisberger (31.42), and David Johnson (27.1) as their leading contributors. We listed Big Ben and DJ as suggestions in the Week 10 post, too.

QB: Marcus Mariota, Titans ($6,700)

His stellar performances this season are now transitioning from flukes to trends. Super Mariota has notched at least 28 DK points in back-to-back games and has thrown at least two TD passes in six straight games. As for the Colts defense, it has allowed at least two TD passes in six consecutive games.

RB: LeGarrette Blount, Patriots ($6,400)

You should continue to plug in the running back facing San Francisco until otherwise told not to do so. The 49ers have allowed 10 TDs to opposing running backs in the past five weeks. Blount has scored eight rushing touchdowns in the past five contests. He nearly notched four TDs last week against Seattle, but instead settled for three.

WR: Davante Adams, GB ($6,700)

This week, I'm spending big at the running back position and looking for deals in the wide receiver player pool. In the past four weeks, Adams has received 47 targets. That is one behind the leader (Allen Robinson). Adams also has scored at least 14 DK points in five of the past six contests. If Josh Norman covers Jordy Nelson on Sunday, Adams could be in line for another big game.

TE: Julius Thomas, Jaguars ($3,500)

The Lions return from a bye week and hopefully they are still terrible when it comes to defending opposing tight ends. Last week, Thomas was targeted 10 times and recorded six receptions. He's also scored a touchdown in three of the past four games.

D/ST: Miami Dolphins ($2,900)

Last week, Miami produced four interceptions against Philip Rivers, including a pick-six. The Dolphins ended the day with 17 DK points. That's back-to-back weeks with at least 13 DK points. This Sunday, they'll travel to Los Angeles as Jared Goff makes his first career start in the NFL. I love choosing defenses who face rookie QBs.
