Donte Whitner tells Sammy Watkins to 'Be quiet' after Browns comments
Prior to this year's NFL Draft a lot of signs pointed to the Cleveland Browns taking Sammy Watkins with their fourth overall pick.
Instead, the Browns ended up trading the pick to the Buffalo Bills and picking cornerback Justin Gilbert.
Now, in a recent article from the Akron Beacon Journal, it seems Watkins might have a little vendetta against the Browns after passing him up.
"I have a chip on my shoulder for every game, so it's not just the Browns," Watkins said. "I come out and dominate my opponent every game. I'm sure they've got great cornerbacks and great safeties, but my job is to do my job on the field no matter who's in front of me, whether it's [Browns cornerback] Joe Haden or [New England Patriots cornerback Darrelle] Revis or [Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard] Sherman, all the greats. My job is to win on the field and do my best."
As for the Bills matchup with the Browns on Nov. 30th, Watkins had this to say.
"It'll be a great matchup," Watkins said. "We can go out there, battle, scrap, have a couple fights. It's going to be great."
Watkins' confidence and comments did not go over well with Browns new safety Donte Whitner.
Via his twitter account, Whitner told the new Bills' rookie he needs to 'Be quiet'.
Overall, it might not be the best idea as a rookie to get on the bad side of one of the hardest hitting players in the league, but it sure will be fun to see how this one plays out on Nov. 30.
