Donte Whitner takes shot at Trent Richardson's Dawg Pound promise

Colts running back Trent Richardson has been quite chirpy about making his return to Cleveland when Indianapolis takes on the Browns on Sunday. On Friday, Browns safety Donte Whitner fired back with sort of a burn.

Earlier this week, Richardson — who was selected by Cleveland as the third overall pick of the 2012 Draft and then traded to Indianapolis two games into the 2013 season — told ESPN, "I get in the end zone, get a touchdown, I'm going to jump in the Dawg Pound. I know I have some true fans out there, and I know they still love me."

Richardson added, "I don't want to say it's a revenge game, but it's going to be a lot of emotion put in this game."

When told of Richardson's plan to jump into the Dawg Pound, Whitner fired this direct shot, shared by the Akron Beacon-Journal's Browns beat writer Nate Ulrich:
