'Don Zimmer: A Life In Baseball' premieres July 27 on Sun Sports

TAMPA, Fla. -- Sun Sports will debut a special half-hour tribute show dedicated to the life of the late Don Zimmer on Sunday, July 27,upon conclusion of the Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox game. Titled "Don Zimmer: A Life In Baseball," this show will look back at the career and lasting impact Zimmer made not only on the Rays franchise, but also Major League Baseball as a whole.

Zimmer’s career spanned baseball history as he spent 66 seasons in the game he loved. He spent 12 seasons playing in the big leagues with five Major League teams and earned two World Series rings. He also spent 13 seasons as a MLB skipper for four franchises and earned the 1989 National League Manager of the Year. A mentor to many, a friend to more and a devoted husband, father and grandfather, “Don Zimmer: A Life In Baseball,” promises to be a must-watch show for baseball fans throughout the state of Florida.
