Dolphins place WR Brandon Gibson on injured reserve
The Miami Dolphins have placed Brandon Gibson (left knee) on the injured reserve, ending the wide receiver's season.
A fifth-year pro out of Washington State, Gibson was playing well in his first season with the Dolphins. He hurt the knee in Sunday's loss at New England.
Gibson had three receiving touchdowns, which is tied with Charles Clay for the team lead. And Gibson had 30 catches for 326 yards.
"I felt it right when I jumped," Gibson told reporters on Sunday. "I was like, 'Ughh, that doesn't feel right.' "
Gibson signed a three-year contract with Miami as a free agent in the offseason after spending four seasons with St. Louis.
