Did Luis Suarez previously attempt to bite Chiellini in 2013?

It turns out that Tuesday's bite seen 'round the world, in which serial soccer biter Luis Suarez of Uruguay took a chomp on Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini's shoulder, may have been foreshadowed during the FIFA Confederations Cup third place game in June 2013 between the same teams.

Take a look at the above photo and then take a closer look. Given Suarez's checkered disciplinary history and particulary his penchant for biting opponents is it really out of the realm of possibility that he was attempting to gnaw on Chiellini's shoulder? That's a rhetorical question but I submit that the answer is no.

Suarez certainly got Chiellini's attention. In another photo taken immediately after the possible bite attempt, Chiellini and Suarez locked up and exchanged probably more post-game dinner ideas. (Suarez prefers to eat Italian.)

FIFA has now charged Suarez for the Tuesday incident that referees misssed. Suarez faces a potential ban of at least two matches up to a maximum of 24 months. And with that, I leave you with "Good Thing" by Fine Young Cannibals.
