Dez Bryant: Shoulder is fine after Sunday's game
Dez Bryant had his 11th career 100-yard receiving game on Sunday.
Bryant, who had 10 catches for 103 yards, also became the fastest player in Dallas Cowboys history to reach 300 career receptions, needing only 61 games.
"You've just got to make a play when your number is called," Bryant said after Sunday's 26-10 victory over Tennessee. "That's it. When you've got my boy [DeMarco Murray] doing what he's doing, you've got to be there to back him up. I feel like that's exactly what I was doing."
With the Cowboys clinging to a 16-10 lead late in the third quarter, Tony Romo went to Bryant on third-and-2 from the Titans' 3-yard line. The throw: Romo's signature back-shoulder fade.
Bryant created separation and hauled in the pass for his first touchdown grab of the season. The catch was Bryant's 35th career TD reception from Romo, breaking a tie he had with Terrell Owens.
"Just make a play," Bryant said of the catch. "That's all you do. You make a play."
For the second consecutive week, Romo seemed to struggle with some of his deeper throws. As long as Romo continues to come up short, many will wonder if he's still feeling the effects of being limited during the off-season after having December back surgery.
Bryant, however, said he didn't notice anything different from his quarterback.
"He looks great to me," Bryant said. "I don't know what you guys are seeing, but he went out and did what he do.
"All I know is I've got to do my job and I've got to come through for him."
Bryant injured his right shoulder during the first quarter while making a diving, 18-yard catch. Although he headed to the locker room, Bryant returned after missing only one series.
"I'll fight through anything," he said. "As you see, I came back and did what I do. It's good. It might be sore in the morning, but it's good right now."
