A retirement and a reconciliation?

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter announced last week that the 2014 season would be his last.

On Thursday, the New York Post reported that Jeter and ex-girlfriend, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Hannah Davis, were working on getting back together after going separate ways a few months ago.

During a news conference on Wednesday at the Yankees spring training home in Tampa, Fla., Jeter said one of the reasons he was calling it quits was to hopefully start a family.
