DENVER (AP) Thousands of dispirited Denver Bronco fans headed home even before the clock wound down on their team's crushing defeat by the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

Denver police were prepared for trouble - deploying heavily in downtown Denver - but the city's streets were quiet and cold Sunday evening after the 43-8 defeat.

City police did tweet ''CONGRATS'' to their counterparts in Seattle. Some news outlets switched quickly from game coverage to previews on the upcoming Winter Olympics in Sochi.
