Denny Hamlin's motor home hit by SUV in Atlanta
Race weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway got off to a wild and strange start Friday morning.
As news spread Team Xtreme Racing's trailer and primary Sprint Cup car was stolen from a Georgia hotel, crew chief Rodney Childers posted a tweet showing an SUV backed into Denny Hamlin's motor home in the track's infield.
According to a representative for Hamlin, the owner of the SUV thought the vehicle was in park, but it was not. The SUV slid down the hill, into the side of Hamlin's motor home and cause superficial damage.
No one was injured in the incident.
