Dayton's buzzer-beater beats Ole Miss in OT 83-80

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Devin Oliver banked a 3-point shot from 25 feet with 0.3 left in overtime, capping a 26-point performance Saturday, to lift Dayton to an 83-80 overtime win over Mississippi.

Oliver, 11 of 14 from the field, including 3 of 4 from three-point range, took the decisive shot at the top of the key, far behind the 3-point line. Oliver, who added seven rebounds and two assists, scored the final seven points of regulation play for the Flyers to force overtime at 73-73.

Dayton (12-3) got 11 points apiece from Khari Pierre and Soochie Smith while Matt Kavanaugh and Vee Sanford added 10 apiece.

Ole Miss (9-4) was led by Jarvis Summers with 29 points, while Marshall Henderson added 15 points, all in the second half. The Rebels led 80-76 in overtime, setting up Dayton's decisive rally, capped by game-winning shot by Oliver.
