DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Chris Wright had 14 points and 10 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season to lead Dayton to a 65-59 victory over Saint Joseph's on Wednesday night.

Chris Johnson added 13 points for the Flyers (14-4, 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference), who have won seven of their past eight games.

The Flyers went on a 12-4 run for a 60-52 lead with 4:31 remaining.

Saint Joseph's (5-11, 0-3), which has lost three consecutive games, scored the next five points to cut the deficit to 60-57, and after Wright's jumper, moved to 62-59 on C.J. Aiken's dunk with 1:35 left.

The Hawks didn't score again as Dayton hit three free throws.

The Hawks needed nearly 9 hours to reach Dayton on Tuesday because they were slowed by a snowstorm. They left campus at 1:45 p.m and arrived at the team hotel at 11 p.m. The bus driver dealt with wet snow beginning in Western Pennsylvania, and some roads were slightly covered by snow that extended the trip.

"I'm proud of the players and travel party," Saint Joseph's coach Phil Martelli said. "We got on the bus and we just started rolling. Their choice of movies would leave you scratching your head, but I was able to read the paper and kind of ignore it."

Dayton was 7 of 13 from beyond the arc (53.8 percent) in the first half, but went 0 for 4 in the second.

The Flyers won despite trailing at halftime for the ninth time.

Carl Jones led Saint Joseph's with 19 points and Aiken added 11.
