The biggest rap on Georgia football coach Mark Richt hasn't been his play calling or his ability to sign quality athletes to his university (although he has plenty of critics on both those fronts). It has been discipline, or a lack thereof.
Last season, Georgia held one of college football's worst records. No, not their 6-7 mark on the field. They were No. 1 in player arrests with a whopping 11 Bulldogs running afoul of the law. Considering that was almost twice the number of wins Georgia had in 2010, it's easy to see why restoring discipline is one of the Richt's main priorities for the offseason.
The coach got his first opportunity to show a tougher side this week when star running back Washaun Ealey, one of the 11 who spent time with law enforcement last season, missed a mandatory punishment run. Richt could have excused Ealey or given him more laps
