Davis returns to court after recovering from chest contusion
Anthony Davis returned to action for the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday for the first time after a chest contusion sidelined him last Friday.
Davis wore a protective, sleeveless flak jacket underneath his jersey to protect his chest in the contest versus the Utah Jazz. Davis says while there is no visible bruise on his chest, it is still sore from Friday's injury.
Davis still isn't sure when the injury occurred versus the Cavaliers. He just knows he was suddenly having trouble breathing and his teammates told him he didn't look right.
Davis attempted to re-enter the game, but quickly exited when the pain and inability to breathe worsened.
Doctors examined and x-rayed Davis at the Smoothie King Center before transferring him to a local hospital for further tests before the game versus the Cavaliers ended.
Davis sat out of Sunday's contest versus the Golden State Warriors, which the Pelicans lost in overtime.
