David Price's Batman-like helmet makes appearance at Tropicana Field
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- David Price as the Dark Knight?
Believe it.
The Tampa Bay Rays left-hander created buzz Wednesday when he posted a video clip that featured him wearing a black, Batman-like helmet while driving out of his Tampa Bay area home in his BMW Convertible.
The superhero-inspired item appeared at Tropicana Field before the Rays closed a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals. It goes for $325 at helmetdawg.com, which describes the HD100 helmet this way: "Introducing the ALL NEW HD100 helmet formerly known as the Dark as Night helmet concept. The NEW HD100 is the result of months of developing a new proprietary elastomer (polymer) formula that yields soft yet flexible traits without sacrificing durability, functionality, or looks. There is little to no difference in aesthetic looks, the concept has faithfully transitioned into production in every major aspect."

As told to Sun Sports' Kelly Nash, Price owns the helmet for use when driving his Can-Am motorcycle. But Wednesday, he decided to sport the look in his larger, sleek ride.
Consider it his way to pay homage to a timeless hero.
"It's the Dark Knight," Price told Nash. "He's the baddest superhero ever."
