David Price lands cover of MLB 2K13

David Price has been keeping a secret, but it finally came to light Wednesday, when it was revealed the 2012 AL Cy Young Award winner would grace the cover of 2K Sports' MLB 2K13 video game.


“It’s a dream come true to appear on the cover of MLB 2K13,” said Price via a 2K Sports press release.


Price is coming off a season in which he became the Tampa Bay's first 20-game winner, going 20-5 with an AL-best 2.56 ERA and 205 strikeouts. He received the key to the city of Tampa and last week agreed to a one-year $10.1125 million deal with the Rays for 2013.


He's the second Rays player to be featured on the MLB2K cover, joining Evan Longoria (MLB 2K10). Detroit pitcher Justin Verlander was featured on the cover last year.


The game will be available March 5.
