Dansby inactive for Browns
CLEVELAND-- The Browns were hoping that linebacker Karlos Dansby would be able to return for the key AFC North game with the Cincinnati Bengals.
But that's not going to happen.
Dansby was declared inactive along with running back Glenn Winston and offensive lineman Vinston Painter before Sunday's game.
Dansby has missed three-straight games after spraining his knee against the Houston Texans on Nov. 16. On Wednesday, Dansby said he would list himself as 'probable'.
Other players declared out on Friday were DB K'Waun Williams (hamstring), DB Tashaun Gipson (knee), TE Gary Barnidge (ribs) and DB Robert Nelson (hamstring).
Williams has been the third cornerback until getting injured against the Colts. Rookie Justin Gilbert will replace Williams with DB Buster Skrine moving inside on occasion.
