Damon beaned by former teammate during Yankees Old-Timers' game

Old-Timers' Day is a tried-and-true Yankee tradition that honors some of the great players to wear the famous pinstripes.

Seeing so many Yankees legends -- past and present --gathering to share old stories is one of the things that still makes it special after so many years.

Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Rickey Henderson, Reggie Jackson... Johnny Damon?

Well maybe he's not considered "New York Yankees great" but he was honored as one Sunday during the annual celebration.

But one former Bronx Bomber hasn't forgotten what uniform Damon wore in his pre-pinstripes days and he didn't have a problem making it known:

So maybe Damon had it coming, but the plunking courtesy of journeyman pitcher Graeme Lloyd was all in good fun -- even ex-pitcher David Cone joked that it was "for the Boston years."
