The pit crews of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson used their muscle to help out a Charlotte, NC homeless shelter on Monday.

T.J. Ford - jackman for the No. 48 team - told Charlotte television station WCNC it was hard work, but worth it: "I'm out of breath right now; carrying those 200 pound consoles upstairs takes teamwork-- just like pit-stops."
