D-backs host Pirates to open homestand
After a three-game sweep of the Brewers in Milwaukee gave the Diamondbacks a 5-1 start for the third time in franchise history, the team returns to Chase Field to host the Pirates at the start of a six-game homestand. The Pirates enter the series at 1-5, having lost two of three to the Cubs and getting swept in Los Angeles. ... The D-backs had to work overtime in their first week, going 16 innings on Wednesday and 11 on Sunday. Their 63 innings played are most in the National League.

Putz registered his first blown save of the year Sunday, two days after collecting his first save.
