Update: According to Hawks PR Arthur Triche, Jamal Crawford is out with a back injury for tonight's game against the Celtics.
Jamal Crawford's words proved prophetic.
On Monday just hours before the Hawks were preparing to depart for their flight to Detroit to play the Pistons, Crawford was asked about his team's impending game with Boston on Thursday.
The Celtics humiliated the Hawks on their home court in the teams' first meeting on Nov. 22 by a 99-76 score, with Atlanta trailing by 23 after the first quarter. The game was never close.
However, before that anticipated meeting with the Celtics, the Hawks had to play the Pistons, who entered Tuesday's contest at the Palace at Auburn Hills with a surprising 7-18 record
