The Phoenix Coyotes announced Thursday that defenseman Garrett Stafford has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Stafford leads all San Antonio defensemen in scoring with 12 points (three goals, nine assists) and is second overall in scoring among defensemen in the AHL. The 29-year-old native of Los Angeles has recorded three multi-point games this season.
Last season, Stafford collected 32 points (seven goals, 25 assists) in 60 games with the Texas Stars (AHL).
Stafford signed with the Coyotes as an unrestricted free agent on July 3.
