IRVING, Texas – Cowboys receiver Miles Austin did not participate in practice Thursday, but it was billed as a "day off" rather than a recurrence of his nagging hamstring issues.

Austin played last Sunday after missing two games with a sore hamstring. He practiced Wednesday, but was given Thursday off in an attempt to manage his susceptibility to hamstring injuries.

Also, defensive end George Selvie returned to practice Wednesday in a limited manner. Selvie is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Defensive tackle Jason Hatcher had his second straight day of limited practice because of a neck issue.

Defensive end Marcus Ware (quad) and running back DeMarco Murray (sprained MCL) missed another practice. It is unlikely either will play against Philadelphia on Sunday.

Backup running back Lance Dunbar also continued to miss practice with a bad hamstring.
